4 Key Steps In Starting Your Online Marketing Business

businessIt’s an exciting time when you decide to start your online business! Following these four simple steps will help guide you on your way to success.

1. Select your niche carefully

Although the niche you choose doesn’t have to be written in stone, it just makes sense to choose a niche in which you are knowledgeable and passionate about. Down the road you may want to expand your niche or decide to change it altogether. However, you need a starting point so that you can get started right away and be ready to promote YOU.

2. Build your site

Choose a WordPress design and install WordPress.org on your blog. It’s one of the easiest content management tools around.  When you’re in business you don’t want to use a free platform. Protect your business and don’t use a free blog site…  your account can be erased in a flash, for no apparent reason and you’re left without a blog.

Some sources to consider for outsourcing your business blog:

a) The7FigureNetworker This is by far the most powerful, cutting edge and complete marketing system that gives you advanced marketing training. It is the exact same system I used to build my business and comes with my highest recommendation.

When you join me in The7FigureNetworker you can purchase a custom site built for under $200, that is virtually up and running in just a couple of days.

b) AWM Blog Design Service – cutting edge websites, syndicated formats, unique designs tailored to your needs.

c) Elance – to get bids on different jobs.

d) Warriorforum – to get a sales page built – about $50.

e) 99Designs – for bids; a cool design center.

3. Set up your marketing funnel

a) Purchase an auto responder, the most important and mandatory tool for building your list of highly targeted leads, on auto pilot, even while you sleep. Be in a position to build and control your own database of qualified leads. I personally use GetResponse for my auto responder service. I find it very intuitive and easy to use. I know others who are happy with AWeber; it’s just a little more challenging to work with.

b) Design and craft your lead capture page and optin form. Or, rather than waiting to create your own offer, use the The7FigureNetworker system to get a fast start, like I did.

The7Figure system takes a huge learning curve out of starting your own home based business. If you are crafting your own page, be sure your opt-in form and free offer show up on all pages of your site.

c) Create your valuable, irresistible, free offer. Consider your target market, what they need or want and what problem they need solved. Create a product to answer their need or solve their problem.

4)  Post high value content on your blog and social media sites every day, every other day or once a week and start attracting visitors to your site. Consistency is key to getting traffic. Show an interest in your online friends and build relationships by acknowledging or re-tweeting their posts, commenting on their sites, and ‘liking’ their information.

Have fun, and I wish you all the best in your business building success!

How to Choose A Niche Market

To refine your niche market, here is a list of some basic strategies to help make it easier for you to choose a niche that will soon become a hot money-maker for you. There’s a very simple strategy and easy questions you can ask yourself so you can really hone in on finding your place and niche market. So basic in fact, that we often overlook this important aspect and look outside of ourself for answers instead of inside to find what we want.  So, get out your pen and paper and get ready to record everything you come up with.  Even if it seems trivial to you at the moment, write it down anyway.

Ponder these questions that you ask yourself. What am I really good at?  What do I really, really love and am passionate about?  What am I  so good at that I just know I’ll soon be an expert in?  Get others to give you feedback and be sure to write it all down.

Often, it’s a lot of different things that you’re good at.  However, highlight what comes up most often on your page and hone in on that. By choosing just one thing at a time, you can can target it with laser focus.
Research your chosen nichet.  Go on line to clickbank.com and find out how many others are sharing this niche and doing well.  If there are a lot, it’s a good niche; you don’t want one that no one else is interested in. If there’s lots of competition, you know there’s money to be made in that niche.

Study everything about this niche that you can get your hands and eyeballs on and become such an expert that you can teach the information to others.  Teaching what you know integrates it so much deeper and makes you a master. Create valuable content and share it through blog posts and social media sites.  Link to other articles and write your own.

Position yourself as the expert. Write your very own e-book. Create valuable content and product you can use on your lead capture page and for your own launches.

Best of all, since you are passionate about your niche, you will have fun exploring, researching and pouring out valuable content that will attract others to you.  Now, how great is that!
