Project Management and Time Management Tools for Success

Posted on 29. Aug, 2011 by in Online Marketing

Do your project management and time management skills need to be finessed?

I recently shared a blog post about a great tool kit of skills and resources, called MindTools. It was passed along to me by my friend Stephen Borgman who is very generous with tools that cross his path and he frequently shares the latest in business tools and knowledge.

Steve just forwarded an updated link to me and I quickly took the MindTools quizz. Although I believed I was pretty much on top of my time management projects, the quizz quickly showed me where I need to finesse my tactics so I can be that much more efficient and productive.

Give the quizz a try to measure where you’re at. It’s a fun assessment and an interesting way to make any necessary adjustments so that you can always be on top of your game plan.

I depend on project management and time management techniques and strategies for proficiency and I’m pretty impressed with this free tool. Without tools such as this, I know I’m not as productive or efficient and my day seems a little scattered even though my aim is always working toward my goals. Managing projects and time makes it so much easier to stay on target, stick to scheduling, remain focused and achieve goals and visions for the day, weeks and even months ahead.

There’s a lot of information accompanying each category of MindTools and a number of tutorials to guide you through each application.

I hope you find the MindTools Time and Project Management Tool as useful as I did. If you love it, be sure to thank my friend Steve over at Personal Success Factors.  Also, stay tuned for more informative tips, strategies and techniques that will help you enhance your skills in the very important aspect project management for business.

Wishing You Every Success Always,
time management

    Another great article Loren.

For me, one of the best ways to improve my productivity (and my bottom line) is to stay open to finding simpler, faster, easier or better way to do things in mybusiness, especially things that are important, time consuming, or labor intensive.

My project management score just barely made it to “You are an accomplished project manager.” so there is room for growth. I have worked as an Info Systems project manager so I am not surprised at my skills.

I really need some time management. I take on too many projects and find myself cramming at the end of the week, especially my TSA duties. ;)

Well, the fact that it is the middle of the night AGAIN as I fulfill my commitment to my blogging tribe, is a pretty good indication that I struggle with time management! For me it is a continual battle with focus versus scatteredness, and a continual quest for simplicity.

I am going to take a look at that site as soon as I can… hopefully tomorrow. Thank you for the suggestion!

One of the most incredible websites I have found. It helps me reorganize my own thinking, take me to new multiple levels of understanding, and addresses my weak points, but also teaches me how to be a better entrepreneur. Cool tool! :)

Hi Earl, I’m pleased you find MindTools useful and I really enjoyed your comments, as always! It does take carefully planned time management to accomplish a lot in a day. I understand why you monitor Marc’s actions… he’s often the perfect model at getting things accomplished and does seem to leverage time well. Thanks for your comments! Loren

  11. Loren, this is a beautiful subject to catch as I landed on your blog today.

I was just reviewing my personal skills in this area. There are times we all must step back and take a long real hard look at ourselves.

We are always evaluating this or that. There is not time to even think of ourselves. Balancing time is essential in business and personal life.

That tool is wonderful and I am sure others will be submitting others. Yet, you have the core focus on self improvement.

Marc Korn is a specialist in CS and he can tell you so much on this subject. He has been monitored by me. I wondered how could this guy do all he does and still work with everyone? Leverage and good management.

I learn from watching others and many more techniques. You have made me aware that checking myself as how we go to the dentist every three months. Well I do for cleaning. I should put more focus on sharpening and adding to my management skills. Time needs to be leverage to have maximum management. This tool shows the areas that we may consider making improvements or adjustments on. That is going to be hard for most. No on likes to see themselves as ones that need work on. Please, we all need to adjust with time.

Loren, thank you for a lovely article. This one I will be back to review in the near future.
